CR Inspection was founded in 2014 in Agliana, in the province of Pistoia, out of a long experience in non-destructive testing and industrial inspection. In little more than ten years we have become a body accredited by ACCREDIA, the Italian national accreditation body, as a Type A Inspection Body under UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17020 and as a Personnel Certification Body under UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17024, and we are a Notified Body under the PED Directive 2014/68/EU.
Our work today covers earthing system inspections under DPR 462/01, periodic verification of measuring instruments under DM 93/2017, PED and TPED certification, periodic inspection of work equipment, non-destructive testing, oil & gas inspection in Italy and abroad, and technical training.
The scope of our accreditations widens every year, and with it the range of technical services we are able to offer our clients. Every new scheme means new skills to build and new people to bring in. That is why looking for technicians is a continuous activity for us, and not something tied to a single vacancy.
What it is like to work here
We are a team of around twenty people. That means everyone knows everyone by name, that a new colleague speaks directly to the people that take the decisions, and that a good idea does not have to travel through five layers of hierarchy to be heard. If something is not working, we talk about it the next morning and we change it.
The work is varied and it has a clear purpose. What we inspect — electrical installations, work equipment, pressure vessels, tanks — is what makes sure that the people working around them go home safely in the evening. It is a profession in which precision counts and in which nobody will ever ask you to look the other way: our independence of judgement is the reason clients come to us, and it is also what makes this work satisfying to do.
We care about the atmosphere in the office and in the field. People help each other, senior colleagues are glad to teach, and nobody is left alone in front of a problem they have never seen before. Since 2023 we have had a new, well-equipped office in Agliana, designed to be a good place to spend the day. We also support a number of local sports organisations, because we like being part of the place we work in.
And there is one thing we are particularly proud of. In a traditionally male sector, women at CR Inspection hold technical and senior roles, from managing our accreditation schemes to carrying out inspections in the field. This did not happen by chance, and it is one of the things that make this a good place to build a career, whoever you are.
Who we are looking for
Two profiles, and we are interested in both of them equally.
Experienced technicians and inspectors
People who have already worked in non-destructive testing, installation inspection, pressure equipment or industrial inspection, and who are looking for a company where their expertise carries weight. Here, an experienced technician is not simply an operator: they help shape the work, look after clients, train younger colleagues and, if they wish, take on responsibility for a technical scheme.
People at the start of their career
Technical graduates and diploma holders who want to learn the profession in the field. We do not ask for previous experience: we ask for seriousness, curiosity and the willingness to learn new things. The qualification path is something we build for you.
A note on language
All our inspection reports, records and certificates are formal documents issued in Italian, and our work takes place on Italian sites, alongside Italian clients and Italian authorities. A good working knowledge of Italian, both spoken and written, is therefore a requirement for all our technical positions, whatever your nationality. Technical English is valuable for our oil & gas work, but it does not replace Italian.

Inspection technician — experienced profile
What you will be doing
- Earthing system inspections under DPR 462/01
- Periodic inspection of work equipment under art. 71 of D.Lgs. 81/08
- Periodic verification of measuring instruments under DM 93/2017
- Inspection work under the PED and TPED directives
- Non-destructive testing (UT, MT, PT, VT, AT, thermography)
- Drafting technical documentation and inspection reports
What we ask
- A technical diploma (electrical, mechanical or equivalent) or a degree in a technical or engineering discipline
- Previous experience in inspection, verification or non-destructive testing
- NDT qualifications under UNI EN ISO 9712 (preferred, not essential)
- Good working knowledge of Italian, spoken and written, as our reports and certificates are issued in Italian
- A category B driving licence and willingness to travel within Italy
- Confident use of standard IT tools
- Technical English (preferred)

Inspection technician — junior profile
For people who want to enter the sector and build a profession in it.
What we ask
- A technical diploma (electrical, mechanical or equivalent) or a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- Good working knowledge of Italian, spoken and written
- A category B driving licence and willingness to travel
- Confident use of standard IT tools
- Accuracy, reliability and the willingness to learn
No previous experience is required.

Technical office and operational support
We are also glad to hear from administrative and technical support profiles: managing accreditation files, scheduling field activities, and dealing with clients and authorities. Experience with inspection bodies, certification bodies or technical consultancies is an advantage. A good working knowledge of Italian is required for these roles as well.
